High school is a time for self discovery and making your high

school experience like every movie you have ever seen like Ferris

Buller's day off, Grease, The Breakfast Club or even High school

musical. For me my high school experience was full of

performance, music, dancing and spending a lot of my time on a

coach bus. I was apart of the Brentwood High school Green

Machine Marching Band, in the color guard section. I joined the

marching band in 9th grade and I stayed with it until I graduated.

I have spent four years in this program and it became my second

family with supporting band parents and friends that will stay with

me for a lifetime. Being in this program was the best thing that

happened to me in high school because it taught me responsibility,

leadership, team work and its where I met my best friends. After

three years of spinning I was made captain with my best friend and

that was a big accomplishment. This program has allowed me to

travel to different states and experience different surroundings and

foods. Everyone I have ever performed with in this band has

become my brothers and sisters. They made my high school

experience memorable and that is a very special part of what

makes me who I am today.
